We were recently contacted by a customer in Polmont, Falkirk to ask if we could identify a water leak coming through the ceiling from the attic.

Once in the attic it was easy to see where the leak was coming from. The client had a 50+ year old galvanized tank that had been rusting from the inside for years.

We were asked to provide a quotation to replace the storage tank. The quotation was send and accepted the same day and the new tank was replaced a few days later, with all work complying with water bylaws.

Can We Repair A Cistern Over 35 Years Old?

If we replace your inlet valve we will replace the washers to the plumbing system connecting to the valve to ensure the life span of the valve and any connections.

If you have a cistern that has a syphon system with a handle and you need to pump the handle to create a flush then the syphon will need to be replaced. when replacing the syphon we will almost always have to replace the connecting plate, bolts and doughnut washer.
